HIV Vs AIDs
Even till date I thought both mean the same. And thanks Manoj for helping me to come out of this Illusion.
The below are the facts relating to HIV and AIDS….
• “Human Immunodeficiency Virus”
• A specific type of virus (a retrovirus)
• HIV is the virus which can lead to AIDS.
• HIV reduces body's immunities so they have more difficulty fighting off diseases.
• The immune system can never fully get rid of HIV because the virus attacks the immune system itself--the very thing that would normally get rid of a virus
• Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome
• Disease limits the body’s ability to fight infection
• A person with AIDS has a very weak immune system
• AIDS is a syndrome, resulting from low immunity tolerance which is signified by the presence of specific health conditions called opportunistic infections (OI).
• These infections are caused by microbes such as viruses or bacteria that usually do not make healthy people sick. Some of these infections include Lymphoma (& other specific cancers), Candidiasis, recurrent Pneumonia, Dementia, Tuberculosis etc.
To make it Simple……HIV is the Cause and AIDS is the Effect.
Ps: This initiative is with regard to Project Chetana. The details of which can be found in the below post.

fAn ThE fLaMeS…………..
Me: AIDS means Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome.
******************
That was my answer in my schooldays. I almost scored 10 upon 10 in my General knowledge by answering correctly this single question (along with 9 othersJ). But never wondered what does that mean. Since that was a topic which was meant to be not discussed.
Though everyone talks a lot about “Aids” in Debates, Elocutions and Essay Writings not every one Walks the Talk.
A couple of months back I remember, I was having coffee with one of my colleague and I said her that I got a new ringtone and played it. She started blushing and asked me to stop that as I cant play that ringtone in public. All this because I played the ringtone of “Condom Condom”, the one being aired on television which has been issued by Government of India.
This is the same with most of us I guess. We are brave enough to talk about Condom, Sex, AIDS only in debates and speeches but when you have to face it , there is an Unwritten rule, Unspoken commandment that we are not supposed to talk about them.
But with the advent of media, new ways of packaging the message to attract the Youth has been a in-process-Success . The various initiatives like Social Forums, NGO’s increasing their reach to the audience with the message that AIDS is not a topic to be left un-discussed, the winds have started to blow in the right direction.
All it requires is fanning these flames which I guess we all could do to be a part of.
Coming December 1st – International Aids Day, we from Satyam are planning to launch some initiatives in this regards to spread awareness ( in true spirit -not the regular buy a red ribbon one)to fan the flames in the right direction.
We want to contribute our drop into the ocean and so are open for any of you who may want to join us and fan the flames.
The Project name is Chetana . As of now the plans are being chalked out and we would be happy if YOU also want to be a part of Chetana.

Aavakayi Biryani….

Now that’s an interesting title to draw Biryani aficionados to a movie and in particular to hyderabadi’s. It was sufficient enough to draw regular movie buffs to theater’s and when it comes from Shekar Kammula’s Camp the excitement just gets to the next level.
Given the fact that Shekar is now well established in Tollywood, and his experience with experimenting new subjects you always expect a good movie from his camp office. Anish Kuruvulla the director of this movie, is the same guy who plays the role of friend of Anand in the movie Anand (who says…Asalu roopa Anand mundu Cheema..Anand Enugu..hahaha)
After a Hectic week I thought I need to take a break from my regular schedule and which movie else gives you the feel of watching a good movie than Amigo’s Production. So I created the similar excitement in a couple of friends and managed to bring them to the theatre for the movie with a pomis ethat after the movie we shall have biryaani JJ.
Though I already read Jeevi’s review on the movie, I wanted to give my take on the movie. When people deliver a success others start expecting little more than that and you need to fight to stand up to their expectations. I guess now that’s the thought of Jeevi
Aavakayi biryaani is all about a middle class girl who makes her living by selling home made pickle (Maa oori Aavakayi),who dreams about making big in life by opening a restaurant on the high way. She meets up with Akbar an Autodriver struggling to clear his BCOM to get a well settled job.
The movie touchs issues like hindu-muslim sentiment, education in a village, exploitation of villagers by a few influential people.
The movie brings in a fresh feel away from noisy roads of city in the backdrop of devarakonda – vikarabad stretch.
I think Anish did a wonderful job to recreate the magic of a pakka village background movie with the tenderness of Innocence. Kudos Anish!!!! I haven’t seen his debutant movie “Confessions of a film director”(iam not sure if that’s the exact name…shall give it a try).
As far as the acting is concerned…Kamal has done a neat job with very good histrionics and Bindu as a perfect Padaharanala Telugu Aadapaduchu was Dazzling in langa voni’s and Sarees.
I consider the movie is a paisa wasool and a movie to be seen whole heartedly to enjoy the fragrance of fresh feel.
Hope there every menu in

Confessions of a Business Analyst….
Every one in my team except ME, my team member, my boss, my boss’s boss and his boss…all them have been moved out of my business. I am left all alone in this team.

This was the team which helped me identify my strengths, my passion, my goal. This was the team that made my wish of doing an MBA top up my agenda. I always consider myself lucky that I had been part of this dynamic team which helped me transform from a fresh Engineering Graduate to a recognized Business Analyst.
There was so much of learning I had from all my peer’s starting from my boss, to her boss and to his boss. Since this was my first reporting line in a corporate, I had the opportunity to showcase my talent and I was fortunate to be equally recognized for my contributions.(which is quite rare in corporate)
I never had to call anyone Sir/Ma’m, every one was addressed by their first name irrespective of their level (even the senior Vice president). That was not a common trait that I found in many others of similar cadre.
Hey Boss(‘s) Thank You for the learning opportunity.
And finally Pilli, u have been a wonderful team member. You make the team cheerful and bring smile on my face. You helped me to realize work- life balance and remain bindaaas round the clock.
All the Best in your new role.
@Team...I miss you all...
