Let me confess that when I started blogging I had no idea as to why people blog.
One day in my office there was a flashy email saying that my colleague is the Top Blogger of the month (with his picture). Eagerly I checked onto his blog page to see why was his picture being flashed across 50k Screens in the organization. All I could find on his bloglink was an empty page. I immediately turned back to him and asked him as to what does this imply. Shaken by my observation, he immediately opened his blog and made a post.
What went behind the scene was, Blogging was a new concept introduced in our organization and to promote that , blogs were picked randomly and awarded the Best blog of the month Award. And my dearest neighbor, unknowingly started a blog (but didn’t attempt to make a post, as he wud not have figured wat this was meant to be) the previous evening but had no idea as to what to post.
So picking the queue from him (and to be a wanna be Best Blogger ), I also started a blog of mine and gradually picked up pace by contributing every now and then and extended my blog to blogger.com
Even till date my Blog Follower count is still a single digit count . So you could imagine the kind of circle I am into. None of friends blog. So they don’t read my blogs. I literally dragged many of my frenz to blogging world, while some never turned up (ending in wasting a url by creating their blog but never use it) and some stopped blogging after some time.
It is because of such callous attitude that I drift away from blogging as I find no one appreciating my writing style/ sense of humor or rather observations.
It is at times like these that I LOSE INTEREST TO BLOG.
However I am a regular follower of blogs written by my favourite bloggers, my adrenaline starts pumping up and the fever to start blogging arises.
One of them is Shrinidhi who is an avid blogger. On a regular basis I learn from him that even this can be blogged. My understanding of blogging (initially) was to vent out. He blogs with such passion that he blogs about everything- from vehicle reviews - Places to visit (I love his chandnichowk trip post) – NGO Activities to a part of – Technology Forums (recently he even LIVE blogged from a techie forum) – Social issues – Adventure stuff (currently he is blogging on behalf of a guy who is climbing Mount Everest and updates enidhi ).
The first time I met him was in a Brainstorming session held in our office in ways to improve blogging culture across the organization. Though I never maintained that rapport with him, I regularly followed his blogs, because his contents are unconventional. Normally when I blog for a season it is about politics, another season about movies ,another one abt Social issues (if u had read my previous posts u wud have observed this pattern). May be this is wat is called as PATTERN /AMETUERISH Blogs.
While Shri has always been unconventional, one day if it is about travel the next post would be something which I could not imagine (May be this is wat is called as PROFESSIONAL blogging Vamsi )
Joining Shri on my fav list is Sodium, (yes remember ur chemistry classes NAOH- Sodium hydroxide). I bumped onto his blog from nowhere and had been constantly hooked to his blog. He started to blog from his engg days at IIT. His posts peaked from regular classroom happenings - dreams sharing – professional excitements. His posts are quite witty and his take on learning’s from reality makes them interesting to read.
Offlate I have started to follow the blog of Smita. As usual I don’t know her (Thanks to internet for making this possible, now people can follow unknown’s). She is an Avid reader and the best part is she posts a review of all the books that she reads and also rates them . In short she saves my MONEY. Every time I go to Crosswords to buy a book I end up admiring every book with colorful front page. Now a days I have started to read the review by smita , only then I am daring to buy a book. Though I am not a voracious reader like her, her blog updates me about the recent books.
And it is because of people like these I BLOG.
Even though with not much fan following, I try to stay updated with my passion (if not anything else this keeps my Typing Speed constant.)
How come all these people's names start with 'S'....:-(
An Adventure enthusiast trying to LIVE by the number of breaths than by number of years.

forever and ever....
“….May these colleagues be the last to die doing their job for our company”, was what our CEO (of my newly joined company) said, ending his mail on a sad note.
That line made me re-read the entire mail and a sense of pride beamed in me for being a part of this company.
Though in my induction to this new firm our HR mentioned many fancy words about the firm (everyone knows whats in once u enter the dragon), little did I care to concentrate . I assumed that to be a regular monotonous sermon.
But just one week past and I end up opening this mail on one fine day, and I could not stop my excitement.
I am associated with a brand where people risk their lives to run the business and it is because of such people that we are ranked No. 1 in terms of Associate delight as per a recent survey.
Ok ok…I got ur point…may b I am a little more excited to share this news, but last but not the least how many of you feel that you work with someone where u see HERO’s in real time (not on celluliod), someone who risk’s their lives on a daily basis to report the news from the front lines of conflict.
May these Hero’s Live forever…..
