Damarukam....empty sound
The most awaited movie is out and the wait certainly isn't worth it. All the Hue & Cry being created now are only an eye wash to fetch more number of footfalls into theatres so that the producers can make as much profit as they can.
The movie never makes an interesting watch in the 150 mins length. You would run out of your pop corn bucket and longing for the much awaited intermission break.
All the Review that we read on paper/websites have been certainly weighted down by good amount by the distributor.
While Rajamouli proved that with good financial backing and without a STAR Hero the script can provide enough subject to be made into a GOOD movie, which brought him many laurels including the most recent nomination into "CNN IBN Indian of the Year". Remember that Rajamouli is the only South indian to be a part of this list. Even after
Investing heavily & with a Star of Nagarjuna's calibre the movie flattens up.
Sheer waste of Time :-(

God Fearing Person or God Loving Person....
Am i a God Fearing Person or God Loving Person....
The above quote made me think and brought me to my blogspace to give a shape to my random observations.
Let me tell you my recent trip to Tirupati which i suppose gave birth to this thought. As every normal person does i also made a promise to Lord that i would get my tonsure done at Tirumala - the abode where the lord resides. But it being a a festive season the temple had huge rush. I understood that it took 24-48 hrs to get Darshan. I took the help of my cousin who works in TTD to get a passthrough using his Official influence. But we could not manage to get into the temple because of the huge crowd. My Cousin's influence did not work. Even though my cousin wanted to try some other means to enter the temple, I was not content with the idea to barge into the temple making my way ahead of those who were in the queue for the past 24 hours .
I was guilty to allow myself to do this. So i thought i would spend the same amount of money (the Darshan ticket costed 300 rupees)in a wise manner, may be i would put the same in the hundi at a temple near my house which is 600 odd kilometers from tirumala.
Few questions started to linger in my mind ever since then. Did i do the above act of donating the 300 rupees to a nearby temple because IAM a GOD -FEARING Person ? Had i been a GOD-LOVING Person i would have spent the same amount in helping someone who is in need.
Let me assure you that i do believe in god and I am not an Atheist but we live in a world predominantly backed by CORPORATE GOD Management. Unfortunately most of the temples in India are being made to function in the same way .
It is true that in order to help the poor/destitute and to run the daily expenses the temples do require financial assistance. I am not against it. But the sole existence of a Temple is not to collect funds but is Vice Versa.
Why do we need a short/small queue to meet GOD ? Why do we need these VIP Breaks /Tags to visit god ?Why do we need to have Special Darshan tokens to visit god ?
If i believe in god and his existence i would never move away from helping a person in need, I would never shun myself to donate to the beggar standing at the Temple door in comparison to dropping 116/- into the Hundi.
There were may occasions when i felt i should donate something to the needy, but end up donating the same in Hundi as I Fear that if i dont drop this in the hundi something would happen to me/my plans.
But it is very hard to realize that God is not like us who would like to take vengeance / revenge. If you are helping another person you are assisting god in his work and that would truly be appreciated.
So from now on i would like to make a promise to MYSELF (Yes if i can live upto my promise i would certainly be able to live upto others promises)that i would help someone in need rather than buy a special darshan/pooja. That's my Personal Commandment.
