My Mobile life....

I thought I will take a break from my regular posts of venting out on politics, movie reviews., etc So planned to share my experience with mobile phones.

My mobile tryst started off with a Nokia 3315 in my engineering college. Since I cud not afford for a slim looking one, had to suffice myself with this sturdy mobile. Though bulky it helped me throughout my engineering initial days.

Then moved onto Nokia 6030 , a color mobile.

It had an inbuilt FM and Radio mirchi was introduced in Hyd for the first time. So it was great fun to put FM on speaker in my classroom and every one used to enjoy the music while completing their Records (Yes we used to complete our Lab Records in college, we didn’t want to waste time at home:-) )

And as I moved to my first corporate exposure, Mom bought a new Nokia 3230 as a gift. Liked it very much as it had a Music player and a decent camera. Though I never had the funds to increase its memory card from 32MB (a free card that was given along with the mobile).

All through till that time I was a diehard Nokia Fan.

As my sister wanted a mobile ,for she was moving to Delhi, I bought a Sony Ericsson W200i for her. As customary I used the new mobile and she had to adjust herself with the old one (that’s the advantage of being the Elder, u get to use brand new ones and can pass on ur legacy to ur chottu's)

Though I used w200i for a momentary period of time, I was enthralled by its walkman music , amazing one, the Bass and treble that it produces is unmatched.

SO my next choice of mobile was Sony Ericsson W580i, a gift from my sis once she got placed with an MNC with a whopping initial package.

W580i was the mobile that I used for a longer time compared to all my previous mobiles. It made a complete music freak out of me. I used it for close to 2 years. As every mobile starts to wear out after sometime, W580's time also began.

I wanted to move ahead and try an touch phone . Checked with Iphone and its cost made me reconsider my decision. At the same time happened to see a touch phone form Samsung in Reliance Digital. When the sales girl (gud looking one) said it was at 8k, i could not sleep the entire night (no not because of the girl but bcoz of tat 8k touch mobile).

Did exhaustive research on Net and read every single review about the phone, and finally zeroed onto Samsung Corby (only reason why I chose it than a Samsung Star was because Corby had the option to use my Sony ericsson kind of bullet Headset)

At 7.5k Corby was the best deal (everyone goes mute when I say the price of the mobile).

So its Samsung Corby now in hands . Shall post an in detail review of Corby soon.

P.S: The funniest part is I have all my older mobiles with me still. Some of them were not repaired and some could not be repaired 

Stop ...Sound...Horn

I have to blog...i am not sure wat to blog, how to blog but I just wanna blog.

And here it is , I have put down my papers here at my company. Though I haven’t been here for more time, it has been a gud experience to hang around with people from different domains.

As i always claimed in my team, this brief tryst helped me enhance my logical and decision making skills. (hahaha..dis is wat a Tom Hanks says once he returns home from his Castaway island)

On a serious note, I transitioned into a Business Analyst (from visiting card designation to payroll designation)

Learning has never stopped. Coming from a company of 50k headcount and work in a company with barely 2500 odd employees is a daunting task. Daunting because I need to forgo all my luxuries of communicators, landlines (with STD facilities),complete automatised processes & Approvals to complete tasks.

No regrets though. Every company that is today at its peak position would have passed this stage and there would have been many vamsi's like me who were involved in building these companies to what they are today.

And yes I am sure with this experience I had made a cornucopia of my resume with various ingredients like working domains as diverse as software development vis-a-vis independent software testing.

Stop..Sound..Hor...and overtake (vrooooooom)

Lyf is callingggggggg...and I am moving....

Zindagi ek safar hai suhaaana...
Yeha kab kya hoga kisne jaana…

A matter of pride....

When the person whom you think is your mentor says that he learnt something from you, the kind of fulfillment that you have inside you is quite unexplainable.

And when someone who is inspired by you gives that credit to you, you truly would be on cloud 9 (no this is not the new energy drink with superb models clinging around it).

Similarly when one of my friends recently started to blog, he accredited that it was ME who inspired him to blog, I was AWESTRUCK. We both used to hang around throughout my graduation days and outbeat each other with our vocab levels (mostly the GRE wordlist).

Coming from a similar background, both of us were average students carrying tones of dreams to do this and that.

In due course of time we both took different career paths and learnt things in a different way. He is always inquisitive, cheerful dynamic, extrovert, amicable and loving person. Whatever were his learning lessons in life he would take care that I would not have to drive through the same failed path but rather help me to come out successfully.

F & F

Today I went to temple to accompany a friend of mine.

Another reason why I accompanied was I was also equally disturbed with the way things are turning up. Sometime back I read somewhere that ,one lesson that life teaches is that there would be a bandwidth of time during which everything that you do would be seen from a negative angle by every one.

However hard you try to put things in place they still seem to be placed OUT of Place to everyone.

Leaving that a side as I finished my darshan and sat on the steps to relax mentally, there turned up an Elderly gentleman who was asking all the devotees to complete a form which required you to chant the mantra and write it (I really do not know the reason for this act but iam of the opinion that people write 108 times and multiple 108 times for a strong belief which iam not certain about.).

With No offence meant I replied to him that iam no mood to write it, as I was already perturbed by some other issues. With an aggressive tone he gave me 4 slips and said “Fill as much as u can in 10 minutes, Just write for 10 minutes”.

Unwillingly I accepted the form and started to fill it.

After 10 minutes I found that I wasn’t able to concentrate on the work that iam doing. I wrote it barely 20 times.

My mind kept on wandering around many other issues and I saw that the man’s way of asking people to fill the form was not the way it should have meant to be. People come to temple because of 2 F’s one is Faith and the other Fear. I don’t know if most of you would agree with the Fear part. And hence people were writing because of their own F.

After 45 minutes my mind was not co-operating to perform an act in which my heart wasn’t involved in. Reluctantly I went to the Elderly gentleman , handed over him the sheet and said that I couldn’t complete the sheet . To my surprise the man started to shout at me for not completing it.

I explained him that I was in no mood to write it, and he reverted that u have wasted a sheet and no one else would complete this sheet.

There were people who were taking the sheets to home saying that they would complete them and get them back next day.I am not sure how many of those sheets would find their way back in a completed format. Also I am not sure how many of them would not waste those sheets.

The Sole purpose of this act as I understand should be to involve as many devotees as possible to write the mantra 1 crore times and spread the belief. In that sense I have contributed 21 times from my end.

I rebuted to his comments saying that he should not bank upon peoples F, if they really intend to co-operate they would come and do it willingly rather than he forcing a pen and 4 sheets in their hand.

I personally felt sorry for my attitude, but I was equally annoyed with the way he was handling the issue.:-(

Day 001

Today was my first day at my new office.

Moving from a company of size 50k strength to a company of size 1.5k, was a dramatic change.

Pros:
> U get to know more (since u end up doing multiple works)
> Foster ur leadership qualities
> Recognition for ur hard work (Since not many layers to cover up ur work)

Cons:
> Stretched Timings
> Limited Luxuries (Coffee,Cafeteria,Celebrations)
> Strict Discipline (Ur every movement would be hawked)
> Compressed workplaces

As days go by hope the first list increases more rapidly than my second list.

This is it for today....Gudnite and shabba khair!!!!

this is WAT BIZNESS DEMANDS

After 3 years 3 months, today i resigned my job.

My first job - my first company - which transformed me from a newbie college graduate to a Professional.

As in any list there is only one FIRST place, this is my FIRST.

Guess the excitement of new prospectus shall help me from this emotional attachment.

guess this is WHAT BIZNESS DEMANDS.

Vamsi calling Vamsi...

Dear Vamsi,

Surviving the past 5 months has been a grueling effort. Stranded alone amidst nothing , always hoping that on the next turn there would be a ray of hope.

Trying to enter every road alas none of the roads left to any place.

Spending time only with me had been a harrowing ordeal.

Avoided blogging, Stopped catching up frenz and relatives (Cant explain what iam afraid off), while some of the people even attributed this change of mine to an altogether different factor...and i admit here that it had no influence on wat so ever for me to distance from everyone.

Eating with,Sleeping with,Talking to only one person ie., ME.

My very own frenz regarding whom i wrote Recommendations, testimonials, reserved movie tickets, paid for parties, took to shopping, boosted their morale, offered career guidance, Financial support occasionally, best pals since kindergarten, are to be seen no where.

The very same people who complimented that my smile is my USP, are in no mood to bring that cheer on my face.

I Should Change. I should also think about myself. I shouldn't act proactively to help someone who is all alone.

I never knew that the other side of life would be so rustic, demeaning and debilitating , wherein people will help only if they get something in return.

I am tired of asking the same question again and again "What was my fault that lyf overthrew me from my track ? "

Life is a lesson that takes test first and then teaches a lesson - a quote that fixed on my study table as a post-it note to rejuvenate myself. But waking up every day morning to see the same note there had become so monotonous that even that quote isnt making me run on my heels.

After some time u get addicted to it and there isn't any excitement that it pumps in u.

After 5 months , i felt this week was going to change and get me back to my gud old days, i guess i was asking too much from life, may b the time has not yet come for my troubles to leave me.

while Mom,Sis,D and Sra1 try to boost my spirits along with their silent support , I dream of a day when i would stumble upon this letter to myself and roll out tears remembering the ones who stood by me during these tough times.

Even as i write this letter to u, My eyes are silently wet while my heart is wailing aloud.

Take Gud care of you Vamsi,

Bye
Vamsi.
